We are starting a new practice. Should we choose Genie or Gentu?
The right choice depends entirely on your operational needs. Genie is a powerhouse server-based platform ideal for practices requiring deep, highly complex customisations and reporting. Gentu is a modern, cloud-based platform that offers ultimate mobility for specialists who need easy access to patient files from the hospital or home. We can help you evaluate which environment best suits your business model prior to setup.
We already have Gentu / Genie, but it isn't running efficiently. Can you help?
Yes. Many clinics are operating on “out-of-the-box” setups that haven’t been tailored to their specific specialty. We offer comprehensive practice audits and system optimisations to identify operational friction, rebuild your templates, clean up your database, and retrain your staff on best-practice workflows.
Do we have to wait for the data migration to start setting up our practice?
No. Magentus provisions early access to your new platform long before your live data is converted. This allows us to configure your foundational architecture immediately, long before your Go Live date.
Will our practice experience downtime during the software transition?
A brief, planned transition window is required to ensure absolute data integrity. We strongly recommend scheduling a 1 to 2 day administrative window without consulting clinics while Gentu completes the final data migration. Once the final data sweep has occurred, no new information should be entered into your legacy software, as it will not transfer across to your new software.
To ensure a frictionless financial handover, we also advise pausing inpatient billing approximately two weeks prior to Go Live. This allows all pending claims in your old system to finalise and provides your team with live billing data to safely practice with in Gentu. Please note that while your core operational system will be up and running rapidly, third-party integrations (such as Medicare claiming and e-prescribing) may take a few days to weeks to fully activate as external approvals are processed.
Do you provide on-site or remote Gentu / Genie training for my reception staff?
Yes. In-person training is available across the Greater Brisbane area, including Logan and Ipswich, with remote training available Australia-wide. Additionally, you can request our physical presence on-site during your Go Live day to provide immediate, ground-level support.
